Author: Bob Wark.

The Water Corporation is constructing remedial works to the spillway at Manjimup Dam.  Known locally as Scabby Gully Dam, Manjimup Dam was originally built in 1966 and raised in 1993/94, at which time the upper part of the spillway chute was upgraded.  However there was some concern that the standard of construction in the lower part of the spillway and the lack of a formal stilling basin.

The work is being undertaken by the Water Corporation’s Construction Branch and is expected to be completed by May 2014.
