The ANCOLD Emerging Professionals Mentoring Program is designed to connect emerging professionals with experienced mentors in the field. Whether you’re a recent graduate looking for guidance as you navigate the early stages of your career, someone new to the dams sector or an established professional eager to give back by sharing your expertise, our program provides a platform for meaningful mentorship connections.

Criteria for Participation in the ANCOLD Emerging Professionals Mentoring Program 2025

To participate in the 2025 ANCOLD Emerging Professionals Mentoring Program, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Mentees:

  • Be an ANCOLD member (either individual or part of a member organisation).
  • Have 10 years or less experience in the dams industry.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to professional development and learning.
  • Be willing to dedicate time to regular mentoring sessions throughout the program period.

 

Mentors:

  • Be an ANCOLD member (either individual or part of a member organisation).
  • Have significant industry experience and expertise in dams or related fields.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to share knowledge and provide guidance to support emerging professionals.
  • Be available for regular mentoring sessions throughout the program period.

 

Both mentors and mentees must agree to adhere to ANCOLD’s Mentoring Program Principles and maintain a professional and respectful relationship throughout the program.

What We Offer:

Personalised Pairing: We match mentors and mentees based on their professional interests, goals, and areas of expertise, ensuring a productive and fulfilling mentorship experience for both parties.

Mentoring Agreement Template: To help facilitate a smooth and productive mentoring relationship, we provide a Mentoring Agreement template for pairings. This template outlines expectations, goals, and boundaries, ensuring clarity and alignment between both parties from the outset.

Regular Check-ins: We believe in the importance of regular communication and check-ins to ensure that your mentoring experience is positive and fulfilling. Our team will reach out to you periodically to gather feedback, address any issues that may arise, and provide additional support as needed.

Guidance and Assistance: Our dedicated team is available to assist you with any queries or concerns you may have as you navigate the mentoring process. Whether you need clarification on program guidelines, assistance with communication, or support in overcoming challenges, we’re here to help.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

System maintenance will be performed on the servers that host the ANCOLD Digital Guidelines, on Saturday, December 21st @ 10:00 PM AEDT which will require the servers to reboot.

Total downtime during that event could be up to 4 hours and will commence sharply at 10 pm AEDT.  During that time end users will not be able to view or access their secured content.
