{"id":24270,"date":"2022-12-16T03:25:08","date_gmt":"2022-12-16T03:25:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ancold.org.au\/?post_type=product&#038;p=24270"},"modified":"2023-05-10T16:27:04","modified_gmt":"2023-05-10T06:27:04","slug":"the-ancold-story-1937-1995","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/ancold.org.au\/product\/the-ancold-story-1937-1995\/","title":{"rendered":"The ANCOLD Story 1937-1995"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>P<\/strong><strong>R<\/strong><strong>E<\/strong><strong>F<\/strong><strong>A<\/strong><strong>C<\/strong><strong>E<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Executive of the \u00a0Australian\u00a0 National Committee on Large \u00a0Dams considers that the organisation \u00a0has \u00a0reached \u00a0the \u00a0stage where a review \u00a0of its origins\u00a0 and development would \u00a0be of great value \u00a0and should be prepared while the relevant records and the recollections of early members are still available to us.<\/p>\n<p>It therefore gives\u00a0 me great pleasure \u00a0in being able to present this historical review which has been prepared \u00a0by two Past Chairmen of ANCOLD, Alan Wickham and Mike Fitzpatrick. They have been assisted considerably by two other former Chairmen, Gordon Colebatch and Milton Speedie,\u00a0\u00a0 both \u00a0of \u00a0whom \u00a0were associated with the \u00a0period of ANCOLD&#8217;s \u00a0formation and key development.
