Yuqi is a PhD-qualified geotechnical and dam engineer with proven experience in tailings and embankment design and project management.
He has experience in the design and construction of tailings storage facilities in Australia, Asia and South America. He has experience in embankment stability design, geotechnical parameter selection, laboratory data interpretation, seismic response analysis, soil liquefaction assessment, critical state soil mechanics and water management.
Yuqi also did intensive research on water infiltration of infrastructures. He has developed a probabilistic-based failure model for metro tunnels under water infiltration.
He is currently serving as the secretary of the Australian Geomechanics Society Victoria chapter and the ANCOLD Young Professional representative of the Northern Territory.
ANCOLD is an incorporated voluntary association of organisations and individual professionals with an interest in dams in Australia.
