Ryan is a young professional engineer, currently working in the dams consulting industry in NSW. He started his career as a geotechnical engineer in the Philippines, before moving to Wollongong, NSW in 2019. He started his career as a geotechnical engineer, and had been involved in various dams engineering projects, including design of tailings storage facility, construction supervision and dam safety.
Through these opportunities, he developed a keen interest in dams; and wanted to understand the aspects beyond geotechnical engineering to see dams from a more holistic perspective. In 2021, he decided to shift his career focus formally to the dams space, and have since been involved in various dam inspections, investigation, safety reviews, and risk assessment, and attended conferences and workshops such as the 2022 ANCOLD conference. As the NSW YP representative, he aims to contribute to the industry by helping increase awareness on dams engineering within the engineering community in Australia.
ANCOLD is an incorporated voluntary association of organisations and individual professionals with an interest in dams in Australia.
System maintenance will be performed on the servers that host the ANCOLD Digital Guidelines, on Saturday, December 21st @ 10:00 PM AEDT which will require the servers to reboot.
