Dale Hone is the Superintendent Dams and Responsible Tailings Facility Engineer at BHP’s Olympic Dam Copper, Gold, Silver and Uranium deposit in South Australia. Dale holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil & Structural) from the University of Adelaide and a Master of Engineering Science (Geotechnical Engineering & Engineering Geology) from the University of New South Wales.

Dale has worked for BHP over the past 10 years, working across several of the company’s assets that has spanned a range of commodity type. This experience has seen Dale develop a deep understanding of operational challenges faced in the design, construction, operation and closure of a large number of tailings storage facilities and technologies.
